Human Resources

For New Employees

A Successful Start

On your first day of employment, you will have an appointment with Human Resources.  Among the forms you will complete is the Federal I-9 Form which will require proof of identification. A list of acceptable identification can be found on the I-9 form. The most commonly used proofs of identification are a government issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license) and a Social Security Card. All employees must present the original documents; photocopies cannot be accepted. If presenting a Social Security Card, please keep in mind that Social Security Cards cannot be laminated.

You will also be asked to complete the Federal W-4 and the NC-4.

We require that you bring a void check for direct deposit of your salary.

Computer/Email Access

In addition to the above, Human Resources will introduce all new employees to One Port, a web portal providing access to first-time email password creation and changes, employee leave reports, Web-Time Entry of timesheets (for hourly temporary employees), and tax forms.

Payroll

For information on how an employee is paid, please visit the Payroll Website.

Parking

For your convenience, Visitor Parking is available adjacent to Phillips Hall, Lot 12 on the campus map.
