Education Benefits and Tuition Waiver

Academic and Vocational Education Benefits

Permanent staff employees may receive reimbursement for tuition, fees and books for career related courses taken at any North Carolina public institution.  Recipients may receive up to $300 per course up to a maximum of three courses per academic year. 

Tuition Waiver Benefits

The Tuition Waiver Program provides an opportunity for full-time faculty and staff to have tuition waived for up to two courses taken at any of the constituent institutions of The University of North Carolina system.  For courses taken at UNC Asheville, all tuition and fees are waived.

Employee Dependent Scholarship Benefits

Eligible dependents of UNC Asheville employees may be eligible for a scholarship of up to $200, which can be applied toward tuition and fees associated with courses taken at UNC Asheville.
