Tuition Waiver Benefits
The Tuition Waiver Program provides an opportunity for permanent, full-time (75% FTE or more) faculty and staff to have tuition waived for up to 3 courses taken at any of the constituent institutions of The University of North Carolina system. Participation is voluntary and courses may be taken for career development or for personal interest.
For courses taken at UNC Asheville, fees are also waived. The fee waiver only applies to regular student fees (i.e., does not apply to the orientation fee, the late registration fee, special program fees, or course-specific fees, which must be paid by the student when applicable).

Academic Assistance Program
Eligible staff may receive partial reimbursement for tuition, fees and books for career related courses taken at any North Carolina public institution, if funding is available.
