Professional Development Needs Assessment

Human Resources extends a hearty "thank you" to all those who took the time to participate in the Professional Development Needs Assessment conducted during the summer of 2013. The purpose of the study was to better understand the professional development needs of UNC Asheville staff and administrators. Respondents included all staff and faculty at the supervisory level. The many thoughtful responses made by UNC Asheville employees have greatly contributed to the understanding of the unique professional development needs of our community.
Based on results from the recent Professional Development Needs Assessment (click on this link to see a summary of findings), the Human Resources Professional Development Program is pleased to highlight the following enhancements for 2013-2014:
      • additional technology/computer topics
      • increased number of offerings for each topic
      • shorter courses
      • introduction of Myers-Briggs Type Inventory to individual departments
      • additional on-line offerings
